Esmail Khatib, Iran’s intelligence minister, stated that Tehran has no trust in US negotiations. He explained that Iran cannot secure its national interests through dialogue with the United States. Moreover, he stressed that Washington’s claims of pursuing talks mask clear hostility toward Iran. He added that US negotiations often accompany aggressive measures aimed at destabilizing the country.

Khatib pointed out that the United States, Israel, and other adversaries have repeatedly tried to weaken Iran. For example, they have used subversion, spread chaos, and targeted national unity. Furthermore, the enemies attempted to isolate Iran internationally while turning global opinion against the Islamic Revolution. Consequently, Khatib emphasized that these campaigns discouraged public trust and sought to destabilize the country internally.

In addition, the intelligence minister described the sophisticated nature of these attacks. He explained that adversaries employed hybrid warfare by combining modern technology with advanced military strategies. They also organized joint drills, revived terrorist networks, and mobilized worldwide media to spread Iranophobia and Shiaphobia. In particular, Khatib noted plans to deploy extremist groups from neighboring countries against Iran. Moreover, over fifty foreign intelligence agencies contributed to these hostile operations.

Despite these challenges, Khatib praised Iran’s defensive and strategic capabilities. He highlighted the leadership of Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and the effective retaliatory operations conducted by the Iranian Armed Forces. In addition, Khatib emphasized that national unity and coordinated efforts across different ranks strengthened the country against hybrid threats. Therefore, Iranian society’s cohesion has been crucial in countering external pressure.

Furthermore, Khatib criticized the so-called “peace through strength” approach pursued by the US and Israel. He explained that the world now recognizes this policy as a form of coercion and submission through crime. As a result, Iran remains vigilant and determined to protect its sovereignty. He underscored that US negotiations cannot guarantee Iran’s security or national interests.

In summary, Khatib’s remarks highlight Tehran’s deep mistrust of US negotiations. He reiterated that Iran will continue resisting hostile campaigns while prioritizing internal unity and defensive readiness. Ultimately, he affirmed that US negotiations cannot replace self-reliance and strategic vigilance, signaling Iran’s commitment to its sovereignty and national security.
