Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian said the country will not give in to pressure or coercion. He promised that Iran will stand firm “to the very last drop of our blood” as tensions with the United States rise. Speaking at a ceremony in Tehran on, Pezeshkian acknowledged the difficult conditions facing the country. However, he emphasized that the government remains determined to overcome them.

“We will strive for Iran to the very last drop of our blood. Despite shortages, problems, pressures, and injustices, the government will work to overcome these hardships,” he said. “No obstacle will block the nation’s dignity.” Furthermore, the president added, “We will not bow in surrender to difficulties. Even if some powers act unfairly against the Iranian nation, our determination to stand firm and move forward will not weaken.”

He also warned foreign powers not to expect Iran to yield. “Even if the world and powerful states try to force us to bow, we will not. Instead, we will face challenges and heal the wounds in our society,” Pezeshkian said. Pezeshkian’s comments come as the United States has increased its military presence near Iran. This follows deadly riots in January, which US- and Israeli-supported groups organized, resulting in thousands of deaths.

On Thursday, Iran’s envoy to the United Nations, Amir Saeid Iravani, said Iran does not want war. He also stressed that the country will respond firmly to any act of aggression. The president’s speech reflects Iran’s determination to remain strong amid internal and external pressures. Officials said that, despite economic problems, sanctions, and foreign pressures, the government will continue to protect national stability. They stressed the importance of safeguarding Iran’s sovereignty.

Analysts noted that Pezeshkian’s remarks send two clear messages. First, they show resilience and unity within Iran. Second, they warn foreign powers that the country will not give in to threats. By focusing on unity and perseverance, the president reassured citizens and signaled strength internationally. Meanwhile, Iranian authorities continue to monitor the situation closely.

They have called on other countries to respect international law and emphasized Iran’s right to defend itself against any threat. Finally, the president’s strong words underline the government’s determination to face difficulties without compromise. Citizens and officials alike are encouraged to remain united in protecting the country’s dignity and future.
