Iran retaliation has intensified as Tehran issued a warning to regional countries over possible attempts to occupy its islands. Parliament speaker Mohammad-Baqer Qalibaf emphasized that any cooperation with hostile forces will trigger decisive action. Qalibaf wrote in Arabic on X, formerly Twitter, that intelligence indicates enemies planning operations targeting one of Iran’s islands. He stressed that armed forces are monitoring all movements closely.
“If they take any step, all vital infrastructure of that regional country will be targeted relentlessly,” Qalibaf said. Tensions have increased as countries including the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain reportedly allowed their territories to support attacks against Iran. These developments followed strikes by the United States and Israel in recent weeks. In response, Iranian forces carried out over 80 waves of missile and drone strikes under Operation True Promise 4.
The strikes targeted sensitive positions in the UAE, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Jordan, and Israeli-occupied territories. These operations demonstrate Iran retaliation and readiness to defend national sovereignty. The warning followed remarks by US President Donald Trump about potential operations involving Kharg Island in southern Iran. The US Department of Defense moved roughly 2,000 troops from the 82nd Airborne Division to West Asia in response to rising tensions.
Earlier, Qalibaf criticized Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s policies, saying American forces may suffer losses if they miscalculate. He called on regional countries to avoid participating in aggression against Iran. Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi also commented. He expressed disappointment that some countries reversed earlier promises not to allow attacks from their lands. He urged them to distance themselves from American and Israeli operations.
Analysts note that Tehran’s strategy combines diplomatic pressure with military deterrence. Iran retaliation signals that miscalculations by foreign forces will carry serious consequences. The situation highlights the fragile security environment in West Asia. Iran continues to emphasize that all defensive actions are aimed at protecting sovereignty and ensuring regional stability.
