Iran issued a strong statement emphasizing that the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) must act impartially. The Iran IAEA warning came as Deputy Foreign Minister Saeed Khatibzadeh accused some countries of exploiting the agency to advance political goals.

Khatibzadeh, who leads Iran’s Center for Political and International Studies, stressed that the IAEA must operate with fairness and transparency. He warned that exploiting the agency’s technical role undermines global trust in nuclear monitoring and weakens international confidence.

He criticized Britain, Germany, France, and the United States for triggering the dispute mechanism. Calling the move illegal and politically motivated, Khatibzadeh emphasized that Iran would respond firmly to any restrictions or sanctions imposed unjustly.

The Iran IAEA warning reflects Tehran’s growing frustration with what it views as coordinated Western pressure campaigns. Iran maintains that its nuclear activities remain peaceful and fully comply with international regulations. Western powers, however, continue to accuse Iran of breaching the 2015 Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

The JCPOA was designed to limit Iran’s nuclear program in exchange for sanctions relief. Tensions escalated after the United States withdrew from the deal and reimposed sanctions. European countries have struggled since to uphold the agreement and prevent its total collapse.

Iran insists that its nuclear steps are reversible if all parties comply fully. Khatibzadeh underlined that Tehran supports constructive dialogue but rejects political manipulation of international organizations.

Observers suggest that the latest Iran IAEA warning could influence ongoing negotiations between Tehran and European capitals. Analysts note that diplomacy will succeed only if Western powers separate technical oversight from political objectives.

Tehran continues to urge the IAEA to maintain professional independence and resist interference. The country warns that failure to act impartially could destabilize the nuclear monitoring system. Ultimately, the outcome may shape the future of nuclear diplomacy and determine whether mutual trust can return between Iran and the international community.
