Iran warns US that its military bases in the region will be targeted if the United States launches any attack. Ali Larijani, Iran’s top security official, also said Israel is trying to disrupt nuclear talks between Tehran and Washington. The warning comes amid ongoing negotiations aimed at resolving nuclear issues and regional tensions.

Larijani, the secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, made these comments during a visit to Qatar. He said Qatar is playing a positive role in helping the nuclear negotiations and acting as a mediator between the parties. “If the US attacks us, we will target its military bases in the region,” Larijani said. “Iran warns US powers that any aggression will have serious consequences for the region’s stability.”

He explained that nuclear negotiations can succeed only if they are realistic and based on mutual respect. However, he emphasized that Iran’s missile program is not open for discussion and will continue independently. Larijani added that Iran developed its nuclear technology through its own efforts, without outside help. He criticized Israel, saying the country is trying to stop the talks and create reasons for war. “Israel does not just conspire against Iran, but also threatens peace and stability in the whole region,” he said.

He clarified that there will be no negotiations about anything other than the nuclear program. Iran confirms it does not have nuclear weapons, and there is agreement with Washington on this point. Regarding previous talks, Larijani said that exchanges in Oman were only messages, and no formal proposal came from Washington. He stressed that negotiations are ongoing and that countries in the region are trying to make them successful. Iran views these efforts positively.

He added that the US is showing a more rational approach by joining the talks. Iran will continue its nuclear program to produce energy and medicine and will not stop uranium enrichment completely. Larijani concluded by repeating that Israel is trying to sabotage the process and fuel conflict in the region. He warned that Iran is prepared to defend itself if attacked and will not hesitate to respond to any threat.
