Iranian Universities Top Global Rankings

Iranian universities are gaining more recognition in global rankings this year. Consequently, over 100 Iranian universities now appear among the top institutions worldwide in 11 subjects. This improvement shows that Iranian universities are steadily growing and attracting attention from academics internationally. The Times Higher Education World University Rankings evaluates universities based on research, teaching, citations, international outlook, and industry income. Additionally, the ranking uses millions of citations and surveys of leading scholars to measure global performance. Therefore, Iranian universities have shown strong results in multiple subject areas.

Amirkabir University of Technology, Kermanshah University of Medical Sciences, and Sharif University of Technology lead the country in global rankings. Moreover, Iran University of Science and Technology and University of Tehran follow closely. Similarly, Shiraz University of Technology and Tehran University of Medical Sciences also rank among the top performers. Engineering remains the strongest field for Iranian universities. For instance, Sharif University of Technology ranks highest in engineering, followed by the University of Tehran and Amirkabir University of Technology. Likewise, Iran University of Science and Technology and University of Tabriz achieved high global rankings.

In business and economics, University of Tehran leads Iranian universities. In addition, Iran University of Science and Technology, Sharif University of Technology, Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, Shahid Beheshti University, and Yazd University perform strongly. Tehran University of Medical Sciences ranks first in medical and health subjects. Furthermore, Kermanshah University of Medical Sciences and Shahid Beheshti University follow closely. Other notable universities include Tabriz University of Medical Sciences and Tarbiat Modares University.

Iranian universities also excel in arts and humanities. Specifically, Iran University of Science and Technology and University of Tehran rank first in the country. Meanwhile, Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, Shahid Beheshti University, Shiraz University, and Tarbiat Modares University show strong global performance. Life sciences and physical sciences continue to show growth. In life sciences, University of Tehran ranks first. Similarly, Iran University of Science and Technology and University of Tehran lead in physical sciences. In addition, Amirkabir University of Technology, Sharif University of Technology, and Tarbiat Modares University rank just behind them.

Psychology and social sciences highlight additional strong results. For example, Iran University of Medical Sciences, Kharazmi University, and University of Tehran top psychology rankings. Furthermore, Tarbiat Modares University, University of Tabriz, and University of Tehran share the first place in social sciences. Overall, these rankings confirm that Iranian universities are becoming more competitive globally. Therefore, they continue to attract attention for research, teaching, and innovation. Clearly, the strong performance across multiple subjects demonstrates the rising reputation of Iranian universities internationally.
