Iranian President Highlights Muslim Unity to Strengthen Regional Peace

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stressed that Muslim unity is essential for regional stability and security. He said that cohesion among Islamic nations guarantees peace and lasting cooperation. The president discussed these views in a telephone conversation with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. During the call, President Pezeshkian emphasized Iran’s principled approach to regional relations. He said domestic unity allows Iran to engage constructively with other Muslim nations. Furthermore, he praised the support provided by Islamic countries to the Iranian people during recent challenges. He explained that solidarity among Muslim countries strengthens regional cooperation and stability.

President Pezeshkian also reviewed recent regional and international developments. He outlined Iran’s domestic and foreign policies, emphasizing that national unity among ethnic and religious groups remains a top priority. At the same time, he said Iran seeks to expand cooperation with Muslim nations based on Islamic brotherhood principles. He addressed external pressures, including economic sanctions and foreign interference. Pezeshkian noted that such actions have failed to weaken Iran’s resilience and awareness. He also warned that instability benefits no party and highlighted the risks of psychological and political operations aimed at disrupting regional security.

Regarding Western calls for renewed negotiations, the president reaffirmed Iran’s support for dialogue within international legal frameworks. He stressed that national rights and dignity must be fully respected. He also confirmed Iran’s readiness to support any initiative promoting peace, reducing tensions, and preventing conflict. In response, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman welcomed the discussion. He said Saudi Arabia supports regional stability, security, and development. The crown prince stressed that solidarity among Islamic nations is crucial.

He also opposed any aggression or escalation against Iran. Additionally, he expressed willingness to cooperate with Iran and other regional states to achieve lasting peace and security throughout the region. Both leaders agreed that Muslim unity is key to addressing regional tensions. They emphasized that cooperation and constructive dialogue remain the best ways to maintain stability. They concluded that shared efforts among Islamic nations can help prevent conflict and foster long-term peace.
