President Masoud Pezeshkian praised the courage and dedication of medical staff during the 12-day Israeli attack. He emphasized the essential role medical staff played in saving lives under difficult conditions. Their commitment ensured hospitals continued operating despite constant pressure. Speaking at the National Day of Nurses ceremony, Pezeshkian highlighted that nurses and medical staff were at the forefront of protecting public health. He promised financial and operational support to strengthen medical staff capabilities across the country.

The 12-day war started on June 13 when Israeli forces launched strikes against Iranian targets. These attacks caused significant civilian casualties and military losses, including scientists and commanders. The United States later bombed nuclear sites, increasing the challenges for medical staff. Pezeshkian condemned these attacks and praised the coordinated efforts of Iranian forces.

He said that despite external threats, Iranian society remained united. “The people of Iran responded decisively and refused to succumb to enemy attacks,” Pezeshkian stated. He added that his government would continue addressing public challenges through unity and cooperation among all social groups.

Iranian military forces targeted key enemy positions and the al-Udeid air base in Qatar, the largest U.S. base in West Asia. By June 24, Iran’s counteroperations successfully halted aggression. Throughout this period, medical staff worked tirelessly to treat casualties and maintain essential healthcare services. Experts say recognizing medical staff is crucial for morale and highlights government commitment to healthcare. Analysts also note that celebrating medical staff publicly strengthens national solidarity and shows the strategic importance of medical readiness in crises.

Pezeshkian awarded plaques of honor to exemplary nurses at the ceremony. He stressed that medical staff are central to maintaining the nation’s health, both in emergencies and daily healthcare delivery. Officials also stated that investment in medical staff will continue to enhance crisis response and routine care.

The president’s praise comes amid broader efforts to improve healthcare infrastructure across Iran. Hospitals and clinics are receiving upgraded equipment, and medical staff are being trained to handle future challenges efficiently. Pezeshkian underscored that public health remains the top priority of his administration. Furthermore, Pezeshkian highlighted the resilience of Iran’s healthcare system. He noted that the dedication of medical staff during wartime ensures citizens continue to receive essential care.

By supporting medical staff, the government reinforces both national health and societal stability. President Pezeshkian’s recognition of medical staff demonstrates Iran’s commitment to protecting its citizens. It also showcases the resilience of healthcare personnel and the broader society against external threats. The initiative strengthens morale and ensures readiness for any future crises.
