These meetings showed strong political will to advance cooperation.

This visit follows the Iranian President’s visit to Baku and the Azerbaijani Deputy Prime Minister’s visit to Tehran. Both countries aim to maintain good neighborliness and promote positive relations.

The two countries plan to expand cooperation in transportation, energy, trade, tourism, banking, and border management. They also want to work together to address security threats like terrorism, organized crime, and drug trafficking. Pragmatic diplomacy guides these efforts. Both sides focus on practical solutions and agreements, ensuring that progress is effective and long-lasting.

Key projects discussed during Araghchi’s visit include the Rasht-Astara railway, the Aghband-Kalalah bridge, opening borders for travel, removing customs barriers, expanding tourism, and exploiting joint oil fields in the Caspian Sea. Citizens hope it will lay a strong legal and practical foundation for wider cooperation in the future.

Strengthening Tehran Baku relations can help maintain regional stability. Both governments aim to counter false news and interference from outside forces while keeping cooperation transparent and effective. Overall, Araghchi’s visit marks a significant milestone. It reflects successful diplomacy, strong neighborly ties, and the potential for lasting strategic partnerships.
