President Masoud Pezeshkian emphasized ending occupation as the only principled solution to the Palestinian issue. Consequently, he sent a letter to governments worldwide on the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People. The message reaffirmed Iran’s full support for Palestinian rights and sovereignty.

Pezeshkian highlighted that November 29 represents global solidarity with Palestinians who have sought freedom, justice, and dignity for decades. Moreover, he described the day as a reminder of more than eight decades of occupation. The president noted that Palestinians continue to endure oppression, injustice, and ongoing hardships.

He stressed that this year’s commemoration coincides with intensified violence in Gaza. However, governments claiming to uphold human rights largely ignored these crimes. Therefore, Pezeshkian called on the international community to take serious steps to protect Palestinian rights.

The president criticized international organizations for failing to confront Israel. He added that the regime poses the greatest threat to global peace and security. Consequently, he urged nations, together with global public opinion, to take effective action to stop aggression against Palestinians.

Pezeshkian reaffirmed Iran’s support for the Palestinian cause. In addition, he recognized the legitimate resistance of Palestinian youth against occupation. He urged world leaders to hold Israel accountable for violating international law and multiple UN resolutions.

He stressed that ending occupation of historic Palestinian lands remains the only principled solution. Furthermore, the plan includes ensuring refugee return and enabling Palestinians to exercise self-determination. Pezeshkian highlighted Iran’s UN-registered initiative proposing a referendum among original Palestinian inhabitants, including Muslims, Christians, and Jews. This initiative aims to address past failed solutions through legal and humanitarian principles.

Pezeshkian concluded by praising Palestinian resistance and calling for their liberation. As a result, analysts say Iran’s statement reinforces its long-standing position. Meanwhile, observers note that it could shape future international discussions on resolving the Palestinian crisis. The emphasis on ending occupation signals Iran’s commitment to legal and ethical approaches. Subsequently, experts suggest renewed diplomatic efforts may follow as global attention on the Palestinian issue increases.
