Iran confirms control over three important islands in the Persian Gulf. These islands are Bu Musa, Greater Tunb, and Lesser Tunb. They have always been part of Iran’s territory. The government issued official ownership deeds for the islands. These documents prove that Iran owns the islands. They also protect the islands from illegal use or occupation.

The State Organization for Registration of Deeds and Properties registered the deeds under Iran’s name. This step strengthens the country’s legal and administrative control. Officials said they used detailed maps and coordinates from the national cadastre system. This system helps prevent misuse, illegal occupation, and unauthorized land changes. In addition, it defines clear borders for the islands.

Greater Tunb covers 10,832,250 square meters. Lesser Tunb measures 1,394,179 square meters, and Bu Musa spans 12,722,683 square meters. The government issued legal deeds for each island, confirming Iran’s authority and protecting them under the law. The Judiciary explained that this action follows national laws and development plans. These rules require the government to register all lands, including islands, forests, and seas. Therefore, this registration strengthens Iran’s territorial security and control.

This step also responds to international disputes. Some countries have claimed the islands, but Iran issued legal documents to counter these false claims. In addition, the move confirms Iran’s rights in the region and prevents misunderstandings. Historically, Iran has always owned these islands. They were under British control in 1921. However, Iran regained them on November 30, 1971. The government now celebrates this day as the National Day of Iran’s three islands.

Registering these deeds gives the islands full legal certainty. In addition, officials said this step protects Iran’s lands and strengthens national security. Iran confirms its ownership of Bu Musa and the Tunb islands both legally and historically. The government secures the islands for future generations and demonstrates its commitment to defending national territory.
