Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps issued a statement and thanked citizens for participating in nationwide solidarity demonstrations. The rallies included a large gathering marking the birthday of Imam Reza, while a separate campaign also attracted volunteers across the country. According to the Corps, these events demonstrate strong public support for national defense.
The IRGC said Iranians will never bow to their enemies, adding that no outside power can weaken the nation’s resolve. Furthermore, the nationwide solidarity demonstrations reflected this determination. At the same time, the Corps argued that enemy psychological warfare campaigns have failed. Since the rallies continued throughout the 40-day war period, the IRGC said the public remained steadfast.
Demonstrations took place during the entire period of US-Israeli attacks. Meanwhile, the nationwide solidarity demonstrations also showed support for Iran’s new leader, Mojtaba Khamenei. According to the IRGC, public participation created a visible display of national unity. The Corps described the gatherings as a patriotic defense against foreign enemies, while supporters echoed similar sentiments.
The IRGC gave special attention to Wednesday’s rally celebrating Imam Reza’s birthday because, according to the statement, the event reflected high public awareness. Although foreign media campaigns continued during the conflict, public turnout remained strong. In addition, the IRGC encouraged citizens to continue participating in such gatherings, which further increased momentum behind the movement.
The Corps also said that continuous public rallies, combined with military defense, would secure victory. Moreover, the IRGC argued that these events could contribute to what it called a broader civilizational achievement. The statement described public participation as a source of strength for Iran’s armed forces because the rallies provide political and moral support for national defense strategies. Consequently, Iranian authorities view the demonstrations as a sign of broad backing for state policies.
Iran’s leadership previously issued directives regarding the Strait of Hormuz, and the IRGC said these rallies strengthen Iran’s negotiating position. The Corps stressed that the nation stands united behind its leadership. Meanwhile, the war began on February 28, and a ceasefire later took effect on April 8. Nevertheless, public gatherings have continued since then.
The IRGC also praised what it described as public resilience because millions reportedly joined the Janfada-e-Iran campaign. Volunteers involved in the initiative said they stand ready to defend Iran if necessary. Therefore, the gatherings symbolize what the Corps views as a collective national commitment. The IRGC further argued that foreign adversaries cannot break the will of the Iranian people.
Additional public gatherings may take place in the coming weeks because citizens plan to mark other religious occasions soon. The IRGC considers each rally another display of national unity, while Iran’s government continues resisting foreign pressure. As a result, the nationwide solidarity demonstrations continue attracting participants across the country.
