Iran is preparing to host Kish Expo in December, highlighting the country’s growing investment potential. Kish Expo offers a key platform for attracting both domestic and foreign investors. The event aligns closely with Iran’s Seventh National Development Plan, which aims to secure at least $200 billion in investment over five years, evenly split between domestic and international sources.

Mohammadreza Qaderi, executive secretary of the event, explained that last year’s Kish Expo welcomed delegations from 30 countries. Ambassadors, commercial attachés, and representatives from 156 foreign companies visited 90 booths and pavilions. This strong international presence helped foster cooperation and identify investment opportunities.

This year’s exhibition receives strong government backing and active support from the ministries of Economy, Industry, and Foreign Affairs, while organizers collaborate with international organizations such as ECO to enhance regional cooperation.

Qaderi highlighted that the previous Kish Expo generated $500 million in investment memoranda. Investors have already finalized $100 million of these agreements. He emphasized that these results demonstrate the country’s potential to attract sustainable and long-term investments despite ongoing sanctions.

Iran has experienced a notable increase in foreign investment licenses. During the first five months of this year, authorities approved $900 million, compared with $1.2 billion for all of last year. Qaderi projected that foreign investment could reach $2 billion by the end of 2025. He also stressed that these figures reflect growing international confidence in Iran’s economic prospects.

Kish Expo 2025 will take place from December 9 to 14 on Kish Island. The event will showcase trade opportunities, promote tourism, and foster sustainable investment partnerships across the region. It provides businesses a unique chance to explore new markets and establish strong connections with international partners.

Qaderi encouraged both foreign and domestic investors to participate, noting that the event strengthens Iran’s global economic integration. The exhibition illustrates the country’s commitment to long-term economic growth and expanding cross-border cooperation.

Overall, Kish Expo plays a strategic role in attracting foreign capital and promoting regional economic development. With government support and increasing international interest, the event will become a central platform for trade, investment, and sustainable partnerships in the coming years.
