Kermanshah exports have exceeded $1.78 billion during the first seven months of the current Iranian year. This achievement highlights the province’s growing role in Iran’s trade with neighboring countries. Kermanshah exports are crucial for boosting the regional economy and supporting cross-border commerce.

According to Reza Nikravesh, director general of Kermanshah Customs, the province exported a total of 4.17 million tons of goods valued at $1,788,699,000. This represents a two percent increase in value and a one percent rise in volume compared with the same period last year. Nikravesh emphasized the significance of these figures for local businesses and the national economy.

Khosravi Customs accounted for the largest share of Kermanshah exports. Goods worth $567,364,000, weighing 1.25 million tons, passed through this border crossing. Parvizkhan Customs followed, exporting $495,711,000 in goods with a total weight of 1.16 million tons. Soomar Customs ranked third, handling exports valued at $407,448,000, totaling nearly one million tons.

Smaller border points also contributed to the province’s exports. Sheikh Seleh Customs exported $270,019,000 worth of goods weighing 387,000 tons. Shoushmi Customs accounted for $24,457,000 in exports, with a weight of 326,000 tons. These crossings collectively strengthen Kermanshah’s position as a key gateway for trade with Iraq and other neighbors.

The main exported products included cast iron, iron and steel, plastic materials, fruits, vegetables, and dairy products. Nikravesh also highlighted exports of goods made from stone, gypsum, cement, and other industrial materials. The diverse range of products demonstrates Kermanshah exports’ strategic importance to multiple industries.

Experts note that Kermanshah’s border locations facilitate smooth trade, attracting investment and enhancing regional cooperation. Officials suggest that sustained growth could boost employment and infrastructure development. Moreover, increasing exports may strengthen Iran’s non-oil trade performance and diversify the country’s economic activities.

Looking ahead, Kermanshah authorities plan to streamline customs procedures and expand export capacity. They aim to maintain steady growth in both volume and value, supporting local producers and regional markets. Kermanshah exports remain a central factor in shaping the province’s economic outlook for the coming year.
