Iran’s trade with Africa has grown strongly over the first nine months of 2025. Between March 21 and December 22, Iran’s trade with 39 African countries reached $940 million. This marks a 66 percent increase compared to the same period last year.

The growth in Iran’s trade with Africa shows that economic ties between Iran and African countries are strengthening. Several key sectors, including energy, agriculture, and manufacturing, have contributed to this rise. More companies in Iran are finding opportunities to do business with African partners, and African countries are benefiting from access to new products and technologies.

Officials in Iran say that preparations are already underway for the next Iran-African Summit. These summits bring together government officials, business leaders, and experts to discuss trade opportunities and overcome challenges. Expert-level meetings will also continue, making trade processes smoother and building stronger business connections.

Iran’s trade with Africa is expected to continue growing. By holding summits, organizing trade events, and facilitating business discussions, Iran is making it easier for companies to expand into African markets. These efforts also help strengthen diplomatic and economic relationships between the countries.

The recent growth demonstrates Iran’s commitment to building long-term partnerships in Africa. Both Iranian and African businesses benefit from stronger trade links, increased opportunities, and closer cooperation. This positive trend is likely to continue as more companies explore business possibilities and joint ventures.

In summary, the first nine months of 2025 show strong results for Iran’s trade with Africa. With continued planning, summits, and business initiatives, this growth can be sustained and even increased in the future. The next Iran-African Summit will play a key role in supporting trade, enhancing business opportunities, and maintaining positive economic relations between the countries.
