Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi warned of new ceasefire violations by Israel in Iran and Lebanon. He said these breaches threaten the fragile peace recently negotiated with Pakistan’s mediation. Araghchi made the remarks during a phone call with Pakistani Army Chief General Asim Munir.

During the call, Araghchi praised Pakistan’s continuous and effective efforts to end the war and strengthen regional peace. He stressed that Israel’s actions directly undermine the ceasefire agreed upon by Iran and Lebanon. The discussion followed a conversation between Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif. Both sides emphasized the importance of coordinating follow-ups on previously agreed measures.

Earlier on Wednesday, Iran declared a historic victory after 40 days of hostilities involving the United States and Israel. Tehran announced that Washington had accepted a 10-point Iranian proposal. The plan included an immediate cessation of hostilities on all fronts, especially in Lebanon. Analysts described the agreement as a major diplomatic breakthrough.

However, hours after the ceasefire was announced, Israel launched deadly attacks in Lebanon, including in Beirut. The strikes killed hundreds of civilians and were the heaviest since fresh aggression began in March. Israel also targeted several locations in Iran, including an oil refinery on Lavan Island.

A senior Iranian security official said Israel’s violations risk provoking a full-scale Iranian response. He added that these actions destabilize an already fragile truce. The official explained that Israel’s breaches also increase the costs of the agreement for the United States while attacks continue in Lebanon and Iran.

He called on mediating nations to intervene immediately and hold the aggressor accountable. The official warned that if the ceasefire collapses, Israel will bear sole responsibility. He added that Iran “will punish the aggressor” if necessary.

Experts said continued ceasefire violations threaten broader regional stability. They suggested that Iran, Pakistan, and other mediators must maintain coordination to prevent further escalation. Diplomats also warned that renewed violence could derail international efforts for lasting peace.

Ceasefire violations have already drawn widespread concern from security officials. They stress that immediate action and strict adherence to agreements remain crucial. The situation remains volatile, with future developments likely influencing regional diplomacy.
