The Fajr Theater Festival ended in Tehran with a closing ceremony at Vahdat Hall. From the start, the festival highlighted artistic achievement and cultural unity. Many cultural officials attended the event in support of the theater community. Among them, the Minister of Culture joined senior artistic administrators. Together, they observed the final presentations and award announcements. However, the ceremony moved forward without formal speeches. Instead, organizers focused on honoring winners quickly. As a result, award recipients did not receive official speaking time.

Nevertheless, several artists shared their thoughts informally. Although microphones were unavailable, they still addressed the audience. In doing so, they expressed concerns about working conditions and artistic freedom. Meanwhile, cultural leaders spoke outside the main program. During these discussions, the Minister emphasized balance in festival planning. Specifically, he called for spaces that feel open and welcoming. Moreover, he explained that festivals should reflect real social conditions. At the same time, they must avoid pressure or restriction. Therefore, he promoted what he described as a reasonable middle ground.

Additionally, the Minister spoke about theater’s role in society. He noted that theater grows alongside everyday life. Consequently, it reflects both struggle and hope. Furthermore, he reminded audiences that theater has supported people throughout history. According to him, artists often respond directly to social change. Thus, theater remains close to public experience. Importantly, the festival followed a theme centered on hope and unity. Because of this, many performances focused on resilience. As a result, audiences connected strongly with the productions.

Looking ahead, officials stressed the need for early preparation. In fact, planning for the next festival has already started. Therefore, organizers aim to improve structure and participation. In addition, officials described the closing ceremony as a starting point. Rather than an ending, it signaled future cultural efforts. The Fajr Theater Festival continues to guide theater development nationwide. Finally, the annual festival connects artists with audiences across the country. Through recognition and dialogue, it strengthens cultural ties. Ultimately, the Fajr Theater Festival remains central to Iran’s performing arts scene.
