Iran-Israel arrests draw attention after authorities detained 20 suspects in the country’s northwest. The operation highlights intensifying security actions during the ongoing regional conflict.

Officials said security forces conducted coordinated raids in the province of West Azerbaijan Province. Investigators targeted networks suspected of cooperating with Israel.

Local outlets reported the detentions on Sunday. Authorities linked the suspects to intelligence activities targeting Iranian security sites.

According to statements from the semi-official Fars News Agency, prosecutors oversaw several operations across the province. Investigators seized communications equipment and documents during the raids.

Provincial prosecutor Hossein Majidi confirmed the arrests in a public statement. He said suspects transmitted sensitive information to Israeli contacts.

Authorities allege the group shared locations of military installations and police facilities. Officials also claim suspects monitored strategic infrastructure for foreign intelligence services.

Iran-Israel arrests also follow broader security sweeps across the country. Iranian authorities recently detained hundreds of individuals suspected of foreign cooperation.

Security officials say they aim to dismantle espionage networks and protect sensitive sites. They also warn that intelligence threats increased during the regional confrontation.

Since then, Iranian leaders have tightened domestic security measures. Authorities expanded intelligence monitoring and launched operations against suspected collaborators.

Members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps increased patrols in several regions. The force also expanded
