Masoud Pezeshkian addressed rising prices in a recent social media post. He emphasized that price increases are unacceptable during wartime. On one hand, higher raw material costs are driving some hikes. On the other hand, other increases stem from war-related disruptions. Nevertheless, a portion of inflation remains beyond government control.

The president acknowledged the pressure on citizens. He noted that people understand some economic challenges. However, profiteers and hoarders are causing unjustified price increases. As a result, these practices disrupt social stability. Therefore, the government cannot tolerate such behavior.

Pezeshkian warned that these actions harm the public. Consequently, he instructed the justice minister to act quickly and coordinate with the judiciary. Specifically, the government plans to enforce strict measures against market violations. Thus, illegal activities causing price manipulation will face serious consequences.

The war has placed significant strain on the economy. For example, supply chain disruptions continue to affect markets. Moreover, the US naval blockade has reduced imports and exports. Because of this, these factors have contributed to rising prices. Even so, hoarding and profiteering further worsen the situation.

Some traders exploit the crisis for profit. For instance, merchants stockpile essential goods, creating artificial scarcity. As a result, prices rise even higher. Therefore, the president stressed that such actions directly harm consumers.

Authorities will take legal action against market manipulators. At the same time, the justice minister will coordinate with judicial officials to monitor markets closely. For this purpose, inspectors will regularly check warehouses. If violations are found, offenders may face fines or imprisonment.

Public frustration continues to grow. In fact, citizens report higher costs for food and medicine. Consequently, many families struggle to afford basic goods. This, in turn, increases pressure on the government to respond effectively.

Business owners also face serious challenges. For example, importers struggle with rising shipping costs, while manufacturers pay more for raw materials and energy. Therefore, policymakers must distinguish between justified price increases and exploitation. Ultimately, ruthless profiteering will not be tolerated.

The judiciary has pledged swift action against violators. In particular, special courts may handle economic crimes. Additionally, officials may publish the names of convicted offenders to deter others. Overall, the crackdown on unfair price increases has begun.

The coming weeks will determine the impact of these measures. Hopefully, consumers will see some relief in prices. In conclusion, the government remains committed to protecting public welfare, and cooperation from all citizens will be essential during this difficult time.
