Rising medical costs remain a major concern, and President Pezeshkian has spoken out firmly. He stated that the government will not allow any increase in out-of-pocket healthcare payments. This issue, he emphasized, is a strict red line for his administration.

Through a post on X, he urged officials to safeguard people’s dignity. They must make medical services simple and accessible, avoiding confusion or unnecessary delays. In addition, he encouraged colleagues to address challenges directly in hospitals and clinics.

Public concern has grown because medicine and doctor visit fees keep rising. Many families struggle to cover these essential expenses. Some patients skip doctor visits, while others cannot afford prescribed treatments. Consequently, some turn to herbal remedies as cheaper alternatives.

Ahmad Aryaeinejad, a member of Parliament’s Health Commission, warned that this financial burden forces people to live with untreated illnesses. He explained that delays in treatment could worsen public health risks. Therefore, immediate action is required.

In response, President Pezeshkian promised closer monitoring of the healthcare sector. He instructed officials to work with hospitals and clinics to control costs effectively. He also emphasized the importance of transparent pricing and fair policies for all patients.

Furthermore, he asked lawmakers to review medicine and service fees carefully. Patients should understand their expenses clearly. By implementing simple and fair procedures, officials can guide citizens through the healthcare system efficiently.

Protecting public access to healthcare remains a top priority. President Pezeshkian stressed that no family should face financial hardship when seeking treatment. He repeated that unnecessary increases in medical fees cross the administration’s strict red line.

Finally, he promised decisive action to ensure affordable healthcare. By coordinating policies and monitoring costs, the government aims to safeguard citizens’ access to essential services. This approach demonstrates that protecting people from financial stress is central to current health policy.
