Iran Food Expo 2025 will serve as a major platform for advancing the food industry in Iran. Moreover, the event, scheduled from December 3rd to 6th, emphasizes technological imports, sustainable exports, and a strong production chain to boost competitiveness. Experts say the future of Iran’s food industry depends on effectively integrating these three pillars.

Rashid Azizpour, secretary general of the Federation of Iranian Food Associations, explained that the expo offers a unique chance to evaluate and reshape the growth strategy of the food industry. He stressed that neglecting any of the main components reduces domestic producers’ competitiveness and limits access to regional and global markets.

Targeted technological imports form the first pillar, according to Azizpour. For example, imports should not only meet domestic needs but also enhance quality and production technology. Modern machinery, standard raw materials, and technological tools help create goods capable of competing internationally. However, arbitrary import restrictions stifle innovation and slow industry development. Smart imports act as a vital link in strengthening the production chain and rebuilding Iran’s industrial structure.

The second pillar focuses on exports. Azizpour highlighted that transforming agricultural products and raw materials into marketable goods ensures a long-term position in international markets. Additionally, sustainable exports require products that meet global standards and possess a technological and quality advantage. He pointed out that countries succeed abroad by strategically integrating exports into production cycles rather than treating them as an endpoint.

The production chain constitutes the third pillar of development. Coordination among agriculture, processing, and packaging enhances product value. Processing industries, in particular, elevate quality, ensure standardization, and produce export-ready goods. As a result, selling raw materials alone generates limited economic benefits, while processed products establish a commercial and export identity.

Azizpour emphasized that Iran Food Expo 2025 encourages interaction among producers, technologists, and supply chain managers. This collaboration provides a clear understanding of industry needs and supports precise policy planning for imports and exports. Moreover, aligning technological imports, sustainable exports, and the production chain can position Iran as a key player in the regional food industry.

He concluded by noting that the expo is more than an exhibition. In addition, it is a platform to redefine the relationship between technology, production, and the global market. Strategic planning and integration of the three pillars are essential for sustainable growth and transforming Iran into a regional hub for the food industry.
