Along the way, he encounters natural obstacles and inner struggles, realizing that returning home involves spiritual and cultural growth, not just physical travel.

Since its Iranian release on September 24, “Yooz” has gained widespread attention. On October 8, 70,000 viewers watched the film, setting a record for the highest single-day audience for a children’s film in Iran. Previously, other films attracted far fewer viewers. This success proves that Iranian animation film resonates with domestic audiences and demonstrates the growing market for high-quality animated productions.

Experts and industry officials praise the film for its storytelling and technical achievements. They also emphasize that it delivers social messages alongside entertainment. Reza Arzhangi, the director, highlights that the film explores identity, belonging, and environmental awareness, making it relevant to audiences of all ages.

The Canadian premiere provides a vital opportunity for Iranian animation film to reach international audiences. Furthermore, the screenings may encourage future international collaborations and distribution deals.

Looking ahead, “Yooz” will likely continue attracting large audiences and expanding its international reach. Overall, “Yooz” proves that Iranian cinema can engage global audiences while promoting cultural heritage and environmental awareness.
