Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei has sharply criticized ongoing Israeli military actions in Lebanon, warning that the Israel-Lebanon conflict is entering a dangerous phase. He stressed that continued global inaction risks worsening instability across the region. Baghaei delivered his remarks on Tuesday, as tensions escalated between Hezbollah and Israel. He argued that repeated strikes on civilian areas and infrastructure violate international law. Moreover, he said these actions undermine basic human rights standards.

He also highlighted attacks targeting medical workers and emergency responders. According to him, these incidents demonstrate a pattern of disregard for humanitarian protections. As a result, he described the situation as a clear example of war crimes. Furthermore, Baghaei called on global institutions to respond more decisively. He stated that silence from international bodies has emboldened further military operations. In addition, he criticized the role of the United States, claiming its support enables continued escalation.

The current crisis follows a fragile ceasefire agreement reached in 2024 between Israel and Hezbollah. That deal aimed to end months of cross-border violence. However, recent developments indicate that both sides have moved away from restraint. Hundreds of people have reportedly died since violations of the ceasefire resumed. Infrastructure damage has also increased significantly. Consequently, humanitarian conditions in affected areas continue to deteriorate.

Meanwhile, Hezbollah has signaled a shift in its military posture. The group recently announced it would end its period of limited response. Instead, it pledged to intensify operations against Israeli targets. In a recent speech, Naim Qassem reaffirmed the group’s commitment to resistance. He argued that diplomatic solutions have failed to stop repeated attacks. Therefore, he presented military resistance as the only viable option. The Israel-Lebanon conflict now carries broader geopolitical implications. Regional actors closely monitor the situation, fearing a wider confrontation.

At the same time, global markets remain sensitive to instability in the Middle East. Experts warn that continued escalation could disrupt trade routes and energy supplies. In addition, prolonged conflict may strain international diplomatic relations. These risks increase pressure on global powers to intervene. Looking ahead, analysts expect further volatility unless diplomatic efforts resume. Calls for renewed negotiations continue to grow. However, without immediate action, the Israel-Lebanon conflict may deepen and expand beyond current borders.
