Brigadier General Abolfazl Shekarchi confirmed that Iran has maintained uninterrupted missile production since the 12-day conflict in June, highlighting its commitment to long-term defense readiness. Speaking at a seminar at Tehran’s Sharif University of Technology, he emphasized that missile production has been a core focus since the Islamic Revolution and stressed that Iran learned key lessons from the Sacred Defense against Saddam Hussein’s regime.

He explained that the eight-year war prompted the country to develop missiles, warships, and other strategic military capabilities. “The more we advanced after the revolution and the Sacred Defense, the stronger we became,” Shekarchi said. He underlined that missile production remains a top priority to ensure Iran’s self-reliance and military readiness.

During the 12-day war, Iranian-made missiles successfully penetrated enemy defense systems and struck critical targets, the general noted. He highlighted the Fattah missile, which demonstrated exceptional precision despite sophisticated countermeasures deployed by adversaries. Since the conflict, Shekarchi confirmed that weapons factories have operated nonstop. “Our missile production has not paused for a single moment,” he said, signaling Iran’s commitment to sustaining its defense industry.

Analysts point out that Iran’s sustained focus on missile production aligns with broader strategic objectives. By maintaining continuous weapons development, Tehran aims to deter regional rivals, project military power, and reduce reliance on foreign suppliers. Political and military officials alike stress that domestic weapons development is vital for national security. They argue that uninterrupted missile production ensures readiness against potential threats while reinforcing Iran’s strategic position in regional defense negotiations.

Looking ahead, Iran plans to expand its missile program further. Authorities are focusing on improving missile range, accuracy, and variety to address evolving security challenges. Experts predict that missile production will remain a cornerstone of Iran’s defense strategy for the foreseeable future. By sustaining continuous missile production, Iran demonstrates its commitment to strategic deterrence, technological independence, and military modernization. Regional observers continue to monitor these developments closely, as Tehran strengthens its long-term defense capabilities.
