Iran Warns: All Persian Gulf Ports Could be Targeted if U.S. Attacks

Iran warns that all ports and economic centers in Persian Gulf states could be targeted if the U.S. attacks. In addition, Iran warns that this comes amid escalating U.S.-Israel military operations in the region. Brigadier General Abolfazl Shekarchi, senior spokesperson for Iran’s armed forces, delivered the warning on Wednesday, March 11, 2026. He said no port, economic center, or location in the Gulf would remain beyond Iran’s reach.

Shekarchi emphasized that Iran has exercised restraint since late February by striking only U.S. military bases and regional assets. However, he warned that attacks will expand if Iran’s ports face aggression. The warning follows U.S.-Israel operations targeting Iranian positions across the region. Consequently, Tehran responded with missile and drone strikes on military facilities and strategic infrastructure.

Military analysts note this statement marks a shift in Iran’s strategy. By naming commercial ports as potential targets, Tehran aims to deter U.S. attacks.
