Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said a nuclear agreement between Iran and the United States is possible if diplomacy remains the main approach. In a message published on social media, Araghchi confirmed that Iran will resume nuclear negotiations with the United States in Geneva. The talks will follow understandings reached during the previous round of discussions. He said these understandings provide a foundation for moving forward.

According to Araghchi, Iran is entering the negotiations with determination and clear objectives. Tehran aims to reach a fair and balanced agreement in the shortest possible time. He stressed that Iran prefers dialogue over confrontation and believes talks can address key differences. Speaking about nuclear weapons, Araghchi repeated Iran’s official stance. Iran will never seek or develop a nuclear bomb, he said. He added that this position remains firm and unchanged.

At the same time, the foreign minister emphasized Iran’s right to use nuclear technology for peaceful purposes. He said peaceful nuclear activities support electricity production, medical treatment, agriculture, and scientific research. These areas, he noted, play an important role in improving daily life for Iranians. Turning to the broader diplomatic picture, Araghchi said the current situation presents a rare opportunity. He described it as a historic chance to reach an agreement that addresses concerns on both sides. A deal, he said, is within reach if diplomacy receives priority.

He also spoke about Iran’s sovereignty and national interests. Araghchi said Iran has always defended its independence and will continue to do so. He added that Iran brings confidence and resolve to the negotiating table, not only strength on the ground. Addressing concerns about pressure, Araghchi said Iran believes negotiations work best when both sides act with mutual respect. He said threats and pressure do not help achieve lasting solutions. Dialogue, he argued, offers a more stable path.

The upcoming talks in Geneva come as international attention remains focused on Iran’s nuclear program. Many countries view the negotiations as important for reducing tensions and improving regional stability. Observers say the outcome of the talks could influence future relations between Iran and the United States. Iranian officials say they remain open to dialogue, provided negotiations respect Iran’s rights and lead to clear and fair results. As preparations continue, both sides face expectations to turn diplomatic statements into concrete progress.
