Iran executed a Mossad spy, executed for wartime collaboration with Israel, the judiciary confirmed. According to officials, Koorosh Keivani, an Israeli intelligence agent, sent photos and videos of sensitive locations across Iran. Moreover, authorities emphasized that the case followed strict legal procedures.

The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Intelligence Organization arrested Keivani last June. His capture occurred during a 12-day conflict involving Iran, Israel, and the United States. At the time, authorities found he carried a Padra van, a motorcycle, and several advanced spying devices. Consequently, these tools allowed him to gather critical information.

Furthermore, the court stated that Mossad recruited Keivani in Sweden in 2023 through an agent named “Ben,” who spoke Farsi. Over several European trips, he grew closer to Ben and received large sums of money. Later, he spent two weeks in Tel Aviv learning how to photograph and film strategic sites in Iran.

Iran’s Supreme Court confirmed that judges carried out the execution after completing all legal procedures. In addition, the court relied on Keivani’s confessions, IRGC intelligence, his emails, and the seized espionage equipment. Officials warned that his actions posed a serious threat to national security.

Security experts highlighted the case as proof of Iran’s efforts to protect critical infrastructure. “The arrest shows how espionage networks operate internationally,” said an Iranian security analyst. In addition, the analyst noted that authorities acted quickly to safeguard sensitive sites.

The case also reveals challenges in global intelligence operations. Specifically, agencies recruit operatives across multiple countries and provide financial incentives and training. Therefore, security specialists argue that authorities must remain vigilant to prevent such threats.

Officials stressed that Keivani’s execution would deter future espionage. They also urged stricter monitoring of foreign influence and stronger protection for high-risk areas. As a result, analysts expect Iran to enhance intelligence monitoring and legal frameworks to prevent similar incidents.

Mossad spy execution cases like Keivani’s demonstrate the connection between international espionage and national security. In addition, they show the serious consequences of leaking sensitive information. Moving forward, Iran will continue strict counter-intelligence measures while reviewing security protocols across key locations.
